Hi, I'm Walker. I'm a rising senior studying computer science at Northeastern University. I grew up in Southold, NY, and I currently live in Boston, MA.
I lived in Berlin, Germany for a few months during the fall of my freshman year, where I studied abroad at the CIEE Global Institute.
At Northeastern, I'm an active member of the Northeastern University Symphony Orchestra, and I also like to play intramural soccer.
I got hooked on computer science when I took a fundamentals class during the spring of my sophomore year. It was the most academically engaging course that I'd ever taken, and I've loved the subject ever since.
This past summer, I had the opportunity to work at tripBuddy as a software engineering intern. During my internship, I spent a lot of time working on their website {Node, Express, React} and creating promotional YouTube videos.
Some of my hobbies include running, cycling, crossword puzzles, and cooking. During the warmer months, I enjoy sailing, swimming, and kiteboarding on Long Island.
